Welcome to the Del Mar Carmel Valley Sharks soccer league website for our recreational referees!

This website is for youth and adult referees who would like to officiate at recreational (not competitive) games for the Fall recreational soccer season.

To referee you need a USSF referee Grade 9, Grade 8 or the new Grassroots license valid for the year 2020 or 2021.

As of 11/21/2020 the start date of any games between teams with referees is indefinitely on hold due to San Diego County being back in the highest PURPLE designation.

Check the Sharks website for the latest status: https://dmcvsharks.com/fall-season

  • The rec league started with physically distanced practices on Saturday October 3rd.
  • The league has a tremendous amount of protocols to follow and has training our volunteers on how to run the same COVID protocol practice sessions asa the league's competitive teams.
  • At this point in time, the rec season's first games have been pushed back to November 14th OR LATER. This date may change depending on health regulations and the like, so stay tuned as we get closer to the beginning of November.
  • The first games will probably not be full sided games, but rather be small sided games to minimize player interaction and contact. The first games may also be inter-squad games and not against other teams. A lot will depend on how the initial practices go.

To add your name to the list of referees for the 2020 Fall season, please create an account on this website using the link in the left sidebar of this page or click this link
